«By far and away the best coffee in town. Also has a selection of cakes including carrot cake which was beautifully moist. Lovely outside court yard area for a relaxing breakfast.
It’s just down the road from the supermarket and is well worth the visit if you are in the old town of La Paz.» – Peter Rowe
Best Coffee In Town
«Basically Doce y Cuarenta is the only good coffee shop in La Paz. By that, I mean, a place where you can actually order a good cup of coffee. If you are like me and actually enjoy your coffee rather than drinking sugary, milky slush, then this is really the only place in La Paz to get it. Also, very friendly employees and good baked goods. However, I’m not a big fan of the whole tourist trap store on the outside coffee shop on the inside…» -Raquel B

«My go to spot for an awesome latte to start the day and if you are hungry they have a great selection of yummy baked goods, empanadas and quiche.

Great Coffee and Friendly Staff
«Perfect combination of excellent coffee and tea, helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, and tasty treats. So far this is the best coffee experience I have found in La Paz. I usually get an espresso, but with the recent hot weather have switched to iced coffee. The frozen fruit smoothie is fantastic and filling. When my smoothie came out it was so beautiful and refreshing that the group of women at the table next to me all ordered the same thing. Some great smells come out of their little kitchen; I haven’t tried everything yet but their scones, empanadas, quiche, and cookies are terrific. The patio decor uses recycled products, but is so tastefully and cleverly decorated you might not even notice you are relaxing on repurposed pallets. Great place to hangout and use their free wi-fi or just relax, sit under the fan, and watch the birdies.» -Barbarienne
Favorite Coffee Hangout in La Paz
«We enjoy coffee and have been in many coffee shops around North America and Europe. This shop is far and away the best experience. The coffee is excellent, the ambience is comfortable, the food (especially the quiche) is fantastic. The staff are warm and friendly and going to the shop is a real treat.»- LaPazWalker
Best Coffee Shop
